If you are a follower of Jesus, what have been some of the most formative aspects of your journey to find and follow Jesus, what comes to mind? Maybe praying? Reading the Bible? Meeting with other believers? Serving in the community?

For most of us, work wouldn’t be among the first things that come to mind. But integrating our faith and our work completely energizes our lives.

We are launching a fantastic nine-month journey on Thursday October 8 here at WVNC, a cohort experience called the Missional Vocational Pathway, or MVP. We’ll meet on Thursday evenings, three Thursdays a month, over dinner, from 6:30-8pm. We’ll take a break from Thanksgiving through the New Year. We’ll resume in January before concluding in June. There is about 60-90 minutes of pre-work before each cohort meeting.

MVP was created by the Bay Area Center for Faith, Work & Tech for those who want to connect their faith in Jesus, their work, and their calling, in a deeper way. You’ll build rhythms that sustain you as you experiment with spiritual practices that you can integrate into your every day work. You’ll develop a personal theology of your specific work and explore calling and identity. MVP helps you bring together who you are, what you believe, the work that you do, and the way you follow God in the midst of it all. 

This cohort requires commitment. There is a short two-page application that needs to be submitted by October 1st so that we can arrange an interview before the cohort launches. On the application, there will be a place to indicate financial need, as we have full and partial scholarships available. We do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to grow in their faith!
