We are taking our worship gathering across campus, meeting in a cozy and casual living room/lounge space in McHattie Hall (the building with the second tallest roof on our campus). We’ll sit in a circle instead of in rows, singing songs led on an acoustic guitar, and praying together. Instead of the sermon, we’ll dive into discussion together on Gentle & Lowly: Christ’s Heart for Sinners and Sufferers, chapters 13-14. After discussion, we’ll move to the communion table, where we serve each other communion, and then we continue to gather as the communion table becomes our dinner table.

By revealing the heart of Jesus for us to us, this book helps warm our hearts to God. If you’re curious about the character of Jesus, want to grow in your relationship to God, or could use a boost in your affection for God, join us on this journey. Didn’t get a chance to do the reading? Come anyway! We watch a short recap video before we dive into discussion, and you’ll get to hear from others in the group what stood out to them. Expect to be comforted and encouraged!

We meet at this same time a couple times a month for other gatherings: our monthly sanctuary service and our monthly community service project, so you’ll have time between sessions to read and either jot down some bullet points in your discussion guide or you can journal your thoughts.
