If you’re ready to start your new year with connection, movement, and caffeine(!), want to try more fun and free activities and/or explore new spaces, come to our community open house on Saturday January 10th. We’ll be kicking off the morning with a gentle stretch class at 9:30am taught by Yoga6 in an accessible, non-denominational way—whatever your background, whatever you believe, you’ll be welcome! We’ll be focusing on getting our bodies moving after the holiday season and in the depth of winter. Feel free to come as early as 9:15am to find McHattie Hall (it’s the building with the second tallest roof on campus, and has a gym in the middle, so you can’t miss us) and get your mat set up.
After class gets out at 10:30am, we’re super excited to also get to host Round Two Coffee; their amazing specialty drinks will be on us. We’ll open up the doors to three of our gathering spaces on campus: our free coworking space (open most Monday & Friday afternoons from 1-5pm); a living room-esque lounge space with cozy coffee shop vibes (where we host our Open Air Open Mics during the indoor season); and for those who are interested in architecture and/or sacred spaces, our mid-century sanctuary with vaulted redwood ceilings and stained glass). Think of this time as a community mixer, where everyone is invited to stay, hang out, connect with someone new, work on a puzzle, read a book, or whatever floats your morning boat!
We know that it’s hard to find places to gather and meet new people in the South Bay, and especially in Cupertino, so we like to use our space to serve community in this way. We’d love to get to meet you!
Feel free to come for one or both (just yoga; just coffee & the open house)—or all of the above. We’re excited to get to collaborate with two local businesses, Yoga6 and Round Two Coffee. If it turns out there is enough community interest, we’ll be able to bring this back!
