Yes, We Can! Food Pantry Service Project

Looking for a way to connect with others to start the new year? Let's serve West Valley Community Services together: Thursday January 9th from 5:30-7pm for a quick but helpful service project.

Because of the number of holiday food drives, WVCS receives such a high volume of food pantry donations that they have to rent storage pods to contain them all before they are sorted. What we do is make sure that goods that are WAY past the expiration date do not pass go, and we also help them categorize by type to make it easier to stock their shelves. It's amazing how many cans we can process together as a group!

This is a great opportunity for us to get to roll up our sleeves and serve our community, while we also get to know our neighbors. Dress warmly since we’ll be sorting outdoors—note that we’re meeting at West Valley Community Services, not at the church!

Drop us a line if you’re planning on coming so this local community org can right-size the project for our group size: hello@wvneighborhoodchurch.org
