We always love getting to serve West Valley Community Services, but in a year when so many of our neighbors are experiencing food insecurity, it’s more important than ever to come alongside non-profits like WVCS that envision a roof over every head and food on every table.
WVCS has a lot of donations coming into their food pantry thanks to holiday canned food drives, and they need help sorting the donations. In particular, we'll be making sure that goods that are WAY past the expiration date do not pass go, and we'll also help them categorize by type to make it easier to stock their shelves.
This is a great opportunity for us to get to roll up our sleeves and serve our community, while we also get to know our neighbors. Dress warmly since we might be meeting outdoors—note that we’re meeting at West Valley Community Services, not at the church!
Drop us a line if you’re planning on coming so this local community org can right-size the project for our group size: hello@wvneighborhoodchurch.org. We’d love to serve with you!
