Typically, our monthly service project is out in the city of Cupertino, as a way of serving our neighbors through the West Valley Community Services’ food pantry. This month, however, we’re partnering with Beautiful Day, a coalition of churches led by WestGate Church, to tackle service projects for neighbors even closer to home—sprucing up the playground and surrounding campus for the two schools that meet on our campus!

Participants must sign up here so that the project leads know how to organize the work among the various sites to make sure that each site has the help they need.

Each shift is four hours, from 8am-12pm or 1-5pm, with options to sign up for one four-hour shift on Saturday October 10 or Sunday October 11. Beautifying work will include moving mulch, landscaping, painting, staining, hanging string lights, and more.

Serving the community in this way will take the place of our usual Sunday afternoon gathering.
